2.Detailed Introduction

(1)Description:

It is a highly effective antiparasitic agent derived from the avermectin family of compounds,. It is effective for the treatment and control of mixed infections of gastro-inlestinal worms as well as the larvar stages of nasal bot.

(2)Indication:

For the treatment and contron of gastro-intestinal nematodes, roundworms, lungworms of sheep and goasts and itch mite. Nasal bots of sheep. It can be applied to ewes and nanny goat at any stage of pregnancy or lactation if the milk is not used for human consumption, it does not affect the fertility of breeding ewes and rams and can also be given to all ages of sheel and goats including lambs and kids.

 

Sheep: gastro-intestinal worms (adults and immature)haemonchus contortus. Ostertagia circumcinta. Trichostrongylus spp. Cooperia,. Nematodirus spp, including N.battus, Strongyloides papillosus, Oesophagostomum spp,and adult chabertia ovina. Inhibited larval stages and benzimidazole resistant strains of H,contortus and Ostertagia circumcincta are also controlled. Lungworms (adults and immature):dictyocaulus filarial.

 

Goats: gastro-intestinal worms(adults and immature): haemonchus contortus:Ostertagia circumcinta. Trichostrongylus colubriformis.Nematodirus spathiger.stronlyoides papillosus,Oesophagostomum columbianum and adult chabertia ovina lungworms (adults):dictyocaulus filarial.

Sheep, Goat, Dogs Horse and  Poultry

 

(3)Dosage and Administration:

Administer orally with a dosing gun at a dose of 3ml per 26ibs body weight or 2.5ml per 10kg body weight as minimum effective dose is 200mcg ivermectin per kg body weight. Dosage must be precise to ensure the safety of young sheep and goats.

 

(4)Withdrawal time:

Do not administer to lactating animals.
