(1) The preparation of the silage bag chooses non-toxic cylindrical polyethylene plastic film, the thickness of the single layer is 8-12 silk, the width is 1 meter (that is, the circumference is 2 meters), and it is advisable to cut it into a length of 2 to 2.5 meters. After being heated by a sealing machine or an electric soldering iron, one end is pressed to form an airtight bag. Each bag can contain 200-250 kilograms of shredded raw materials. The cost of each bag is between 2-3 yuan.

(2) Preparation of raw materials Cut the silage to a length of 1-5 cm with a straw machine, and pack it into bags while shredding. The moisture content of the silage raw materials is preferably 65%-75%. If the moisture content is too high, it can be properly dried before loading. In order to improve the quality of silage, 0.3%-0.5% urea, 0.2%-0.3% salt, 0.2%-0.5% bone meal, and 5%-10% of bran or wheat bran can be added under certain conditions. It can also be silaged directly without adding any raw materials.

(3) Bag sealing First, fill the two bottom corners of the bag, and fill it tightly. Then layer by layer packing layer is laminated tightly. Don't use people to stand in the bag and step on it, so as not to break the plastic bag, just press it tightly by hand. Tie the bag tightly with a string after it is full.

(4) Management after storage It should be placed in a dry and ventilated place, preferably indoors or in a shed. If you need to store it in the open air, cover it with a plastic sheet to avoid sun exposure and rain.

(5) Feeding method After 20 days of fermentation, you can open the bag and feed it. Tighten the mouth of the bag immediately after opening the bag and take the material to prevent the air from entering the contaminated bacteria. After the silage is used up, wash the bag and dry it, and it can be used continuously for 2-3 years. The daily feeding amount for dairy cows is 25-35 kg, beef cattle 15-25 kg, sheep 3-5 kg, pigs can be controlled between 1.5-1 kg according to different months of age, pregnant sows are prohibited.

The bagged silage has good airtightness and a wide range of raw materials. In addition to the traditional corn stalks and sorghum stalks, high-protein forages that are not easy to be silaged by conventional methods, such as alfalfa, rumex, pine herb, polymer grass, etc., are also good raw materials for silage. It can also be used to make low-moisture silage, and it can also be used for mixed storage of multiple pastures.
