Prevention and treatment of several common diseases in pigs

With the continuous advancement of the status of pig production in economic production, the scale of pig breeding continues to expand, and the incidence of pig diseases is getting higher and higher. It is particularly important to scientifically raise pigs and do a good job in disease prevention during breeding. The editor talks about the prevention and treatment of several common diseases in pig breeding:
1. Swine fever
Swine fever is a viral infectious disease, and its pathogen is mainly swine fever virus. The disease can occur throughout the year, especially in autumn. Piglets have the highest morbidity and mortality. Sick pigs have obvious high fever, red skin, constipation in the early stage of onset, and diarrhea in the later stage, loss of appetite, and poor mental state. Once the pigs are found to be sick, the farmers should do a good job of isolation, diagnosis and treatment in time, and immunize the pigs with a large dose of swine fever vaccine. Note that the vaccine dose must be several tens of times higher than that of the conventional vaccine to be effective. If the vaccine is immunized according to the normal vaccine, the effect will not be achieved. In order to reduce the incidence of swine fever, farmers must seriously do immunization work, strengthen environmental sanitation, use caustic soda to disinfect the pens, create a healthy environment, and effectively reduce the incidence of pigs. 2. Swine flu Swine flu is extremely contagious. If the diagnosis and treatment in isolation is not timely, it is very easy to cause the whole group of infections. The body temperature of sick pigs rises to about 40~42℃, decreases appetite, constipation, rough coat, cough, runny nose and so on. In pig breeding, once the pig herd is found to be sick, the farmers should isolate and treat them as soon as possible, and use kappa to avoid secondary infections. Individuals with high temperature can also be injected intramuscularly with 10 mL of Anal, 2 times a day, for 3 days. Or intramuscular injection of gentamicin 10mL/head, 2 times/d. The whole group of condiments amoxicillin plus Qi Banqing granules, or add some Huanglian Jiedu powder. The prevention of swine flu should ensure the light and ventilation of the pen, and keep warm and cold in time, and add astragalus polysaccharides in drinking water or feed to improve the resistance of the pig herd and reduce the incidence of disease. 3. Porcine eperythrocytosis is a hemolytic infectious disease, also known as erythroderma. If the piglet is sick, the appetite will be significantly decreased, the skin will be red, diarrhea, convulsions and shaking of the limbs, high fever, anemia. If the fattening pig becomes ill, the mental state is poor, diarrhea, hind limb weakness, reluctance to stand, and the skin on the ears and chest is purple, accompanied by jaundice. If the sow is sick, the appetite is reduced, the milk quality is poor before and after delivery, and the piglet's vitality is poor, and its production performance will be seriously affected. The acute onset of the disease can be treated with long-acting oxytetracycline injection. In summer and autumn, when there are many mosquitoes and flies, it is the high incidence period of this disease. Doxycycline or sulfa drugs should be used for prevention by mixing materials every other month. The prevention time is about seven days each time. At the same time, if anemia is found in sick pigs during the onset of disease, iron dextran should be used to supplement iron in time. Prevention can add multivitamins in feed or drinking water to improve the resistance of the pigs. At the same time, it is necessary to regularly repel insects, clean up manure regularly, create a healthy environment, and spray insect repellents on a regular basis. 4. Porcine transmissible gastroenteritis The symptoms of porcine gastroenteritis are similar to epidemic diarrhea, so we must do a good job in differential diagnosis and treatment. The pathogen of the disease is transmissible gastroenteritis virus. When pigs are found to be sick, the farmers should isolate them for diagnosis and treatment and disinfect them immediately, and inoculate them in time, and then inject 10% sodium sulfonate plus 10 mL intramuscularly, or subcutaneously inject 4 mg atropine sulfate injection. It can also be treated with Chinese herbal medicines. The specific prescriptions are: 6g poppy shell, 6g coptis, 10g myrobalan, 10g scutellaria, 10g cork, 10g gardenia, 10g white peony, 15g turmeric, 15g rhubarb, 20g ebony, add the above Chinese herbal medicine in appropriate amount The water is boiled into a liquid medicine to the sick pigs. During prevention, farmers should pay attention to disinfection, prohibit feeding rotten, moldy and deteriorating feed, and add immune enhancers to drinking water to reduce the incidence of pigs.
5. Blue ear disease
The pathogen of PRRS is PRRS virus. Sick pigs will have obvious high fever, decreased appetite, red ears, sneezing, poor breathing, and higher mortality. If the sow is sick, it can easily lead to miscarriage and premature delivery. To treat pig blue-ear disease, farmers must first do a good job in isolation, diagnosis and treatment, and use aminopyrine and cephalosporin injections for sick pigs with high fever. Use it twice a day for 3 days. If pigs with severe cough and asthma should choose lincomycin for injection, do not use tilmi to avoid heart failure in sick pigs. At the same time, it is necessary to actively carry out disinfection work, especially in the high-incidence period of the epidemic, use acid disinfectants such as peracetic acid for disinfection, once a day, for continuous disinfection for 7 days. At the same time, disinfection drugs must be replaced regularly to improve the disinfection effect. It is necessary to reasonably control the stocking density to ensure the healthy growth of the pig herd. The most effective ways to prevent PRRS should be vaccines and pig purification. 6. At the initial stage of meningoencephalitis streptococcal disease, the sick pig’s body temperature rises, appetite is lost, and there are serous or mucus nasal fluids, and then neurological symptoms, motor disorders, turning in circles, lying on the back, until the hindquarters are paralyzed, lying on the side On the ground, his limbs do swimming-like strokes, and the body temperature is 40.2 ℃ ~ 41.5 ℃. Sick pigs were injected with sulfadiazine sodium injection (0.1 mg/kg), the first injection dose was doubled, and the dosage was reduced after the symptoms disappeared; individual pigs with high body temperature were injected with Analgin 1 mL until the temperature was lowered. Add electrolytic multivitamins to drinking water to enhance their appetite.
